What is Needs review?
The one place things wait for your judgment — what lands there, why, and what happens when you press Send or Skip.
What it is
Needs review is where anything that requires you ends up. It holds only that — not a feed of everything that happened. If nothing needs you, it says so.
Find it at Engage → Needs review. The count in the navigation is what is genuinely waiting.
What lands there
- Drafted replies waiting for approval, on any surface set to Suggest replies.
- Questions your workspace has not confirmed — RunSignl would have had to invent a fact.
- Sensitive messages — health, legal, money trouble, personal disclosures, anything high stakes.
- Hostile messages — never answered cheerfully on their own.
- Anything uncertain, including a draft that did not come back in the expected shape.
- Topics you excluded under Never answer automatically about.
- Replies that failed to send. Nothing was marked sent, and you can retry from here.
Each item shows who wrote it, what they said, which surface it arrived on, why it is waiting, and the post it relates to where there is one.
What you can do with an item
- Edit the draft. When RunSignl suggested something, it is in the box and you can rewrite any part of it.
- Send. This posts your reply to that person, on that surface, right then. It is the moment the reply becomes public or reaches their inbox — nothing before this does.
- Skip. Clears the item without replying. It stays recorded in Activity.
Send is the real thing, not a queue. There is no scheduled send and no undo, so read the draft before you press it.
Who can act
Owners and editors can send and skip. Viewers can see the queue and cannot act on it.
When it is empty
Two honest empty states:
- If a surface is live, it says that anything needing your judgment will appear here.
- If every surface is Off, it points you at choosing where Reply Assistant should help first — because with everything off, nothing will ever arrive.
Activity is the other half
Activity is the record: what arrived, what was replied to, what was left alone and why, what an automation handled, and what came in while Reply Assistant was paused. Needs review is what needs you; Activity is what happened.
