How do I turn an idea into content?

The path from a piece of evidence or a suggestion to a finished package you can film — and what happens at each hand-off.

Start from something real

The strongest starting point is a piece of evidence: a post that measurably beat its own creator's normal results, opened so you can see why it did. Overview surfaces these; Inspiration is where you keep the ones worth working on.

You can also start from a suggestion RunSignl wrote for you, from a slot on your 30-day plan, or from scratch.

Make it yours

Opening a piece of evidence gives you the numbers, the post itself, and what RunSignl could derive about the pattern. From there you decide: does this mechanism survive being pointed at your subject?

If it does, turn it into your own piece. RunSignl writes the concept in your workspace's own direction and voice — never a copy of the original post.

Fill in the package

A draft becomes a production package: concept, hook, structure, shots, caption and call to action. The exact sections depend on the format, because a carousel and a video do not need the same brief.

RunSignl shows you how complete the package is, and what is still missing. The check is the same one used at the end of the line, so a card and the detailed view never disagree about what is left.

Submit, approve, produce

  1. Submit for review when the package is filled in. The piece moves to In review.
  2. Approve it — the status becomes Approved to create. This is approval to make it, not to publish it.
  3. Start production when you begin filming, designing or recording. The status becomes In production.
  4. Mark it ready when it is finished. The status becomes Ready to post.
  5. Post it from Instagram yourself, then come back and record the link.
Worth knowing

There is no step in this list where RunSignl posts anything. Step 5 is yours, always. Nothing you approve is queued, scheduled or sent.

Your edits are yours

Once you have edited a piece, RunSignl treats it as your work. Regenerating a plan will not overwrite anything you have touched, approved, put into production, marked ready, posted or archived — it only refills slots that are still untouched suggestions.

When something cannot be written

If drafting is unavailable, RunSignl tells you which reason applies and produces nothing. It does not fall back to generic filler text that looks like a draft.
