How do Engage Quick Starts work?

Quick Starts name an outcome and set up the real thing behind it, so you never have to learn the words "trigger" or "autonomy level" first.

What a Quick Start is

A Quick Start names something you want to happen and sets up the real thing that does it. There is no second, simpler engine underneath — a Quick Start writes exactly the same automation or the same Reply Assistant setting you would have configured by hand.

You will find them in Engage → Quick starts, under the question What should RunSignl help you do?

What each one does before it does it

Choosing a Quick Start opens a focused step that shows:

  • What RunSignl will do — in plain sentences, generated from what will actually be configured.
  • What you will need — usually a word people will comment and a link or message.

Nothing is created until you save, and nothing goes live until you review and activate it.

The two kinds

Automation Quick Starts prefill the real automation builder. They go through the real lifecycle — Draft, then review, then activate — so saving one does not put it live. Today these cover: sending a link from comments, turning comments into DMs, delivering a freebie or resource, promoting a release or product, rewarding followers from comments, and answering story replies with a link.

Reply Assistant Quick Starts write the real per-surface setting for comments, DMs or story replies. They start at Suggest replies: RunSignl drafts and nothing is sent until you approve it. You can raise the level whenever you like, and it only affects that one surface — your other surfaces keep whatever you already chose.

Note

A Reply Assistant Quick Start shows its real state on the card — the actual level that surface is on, not just "On". "Suggests replies" and "Auto · eligible" are very different things, so the card says which.

Requirements

  • A connected Instagram account. Every Quick Start acts on a real account, so none of them can be set up until one is connected.
  • Owner or editor. Viewers can see the cards and cannot set them up.

If none of them fit

The full automation builder is still there, and it is the same system. Quick Starts create exactly the same kind of automation — they just ask fewer questions.
